Rockland Green Map

…for a sustainable community!

Earth Days are here…

Today was the start of  a whole week of Earth Day events.
There are two chances to meet us at Rockland Green Map and give input to our mapping project: April 22 at RCC and April 26 in Nyack.
See below for more details (but be aware that some minor changes may occur).

Do you know of an event that we missed?
Please
contact us and let us know!!

The Great American Cleanup: April 19 was the target date for the Great American Cleanup, and it is really great to see the evidence along the roads: clean road sides and full trash bags (they will be picked up within the week). To beautify our community any day works fine of course - the cleanup goes on during April and May. Visit Keep Rockland Beautiful (KRB) for more information on the cleanup, the crews that went out today, and crews that will go out during the next couple of weeks.

Earth Day: The Rockland Green Map project will host a table (together with KRB) on Earth Day at Rockland Community College’s Earth Day Information Fair! It is going to be a fun day with many displays of environmentally friendly products and local environmental groups, live raptor show, DJ, and games.
Earth Day Information Fair, April 22, 2008, 11am to 2pm, Location: SUNY Rockland Community College - 145 College Road - Suffern. More info
